    Dr. Namrata Goswami, Author, Professor and Consultant 

    This space policy exercise will focus on developing an understanding of the complexities involved towards building an effective space program. Participants will be divided into teams of 10 with specific roles assigned to each player. Individual teams will respond to the scenario provided to them and develop a U.S. space policy that prioritizes and lists which space technologies/capabilities are required to maintain U.S. primacy in space. Participants will dwell into inter-agency processes as well as utilize multi stake-holder negotiations that are part and parcel of space policy development.

    Presentation on the developments in the cyber threat landscape and policy developments in the U.S. as well as Europe. The European Commission is planning on standing up its own Space ISAC, with help from the U.S. The just formed Cislunar Affinity Group, will form the bedrock of cybersecurity information sharing and analysis for that region.

    This working group will explore how the U.S. and its allies should advance development on modular, serviceable, and reusable systems and sustainable in-space logistics infrastructure (both physical and digital). This will include a discussion on implementing the Active Debris Removal Strategy (pending release) and the In-Space Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (ISAM) National Strategy.

    This panel will describe the significant efforts the United States Space Force (USSF) has taken since 2021 with respect to Strategic Forecasting.  USSF Space Futures Workshops are engagements with various communities to develop future scenarios, gather inputs, and discuss implications for U.S. national power and security.  These efforts have been designed to support strategic forecasting for the nation’s newest service, informing the missions, capabilities, force structure, operations, and supporting science and technology the USSF will need in the mid and long term.
